A Unique Model...
The model adopted for all three courses below follows a constant, progressive ideology. Essentially, the model is split into four categories focalizing content:
-Comprehension of Content
(By Providing Notes and explaining the intuition behind concepts)
-Assisted application and practice of Content
-Testing of Content
-Providing feedback and further targeting weaknesses in Content
How Each Course is run:
3 STEP PROCESS
Face to Face Class
1 hour and 30 minutes

This class takes place in a physical classroom where the tutor assists the class collectively. These classes are solely for conveying the content and comprehension of the rudimentary concepts necessary for the week's homework.

Online Complementary Class
20-45 minutes
Time is subject to change (depending on whether students have any questions or do not require help)

During the complimentary classes, the tutor tailors the online tutoring to fit each of the student's unique needs and circumstances. During this class, the student's are able to seek help and ask any specific questions and concepts that they find hard.

Note: These classes will run on Zoom and students would need to have this application downloaded.
Fortnightly Tests
30 minutes
Every fortnight, the students will dedicate 30 minutes of there face to face classes to sit a test that assesses their understanding of content.

Their results will be recorded and communicated to parents. This will also allow the students to be aware of their strengths and weaknesses and better prepare them for upcoming tests.

Year 6 Selective Entry Tests Preparation
Mathematical Reasoning Test:
This is a multiple-choice test that measures year-level appropriate mathematical knowledge. Questions include measurements, algebra, space and data.

Numerical Reasoning Test:
This is a multiple-choice test that measures the ability to think and reason using numbers. Items in the test tap into series, matrices, arithmetical reasoning and deduction.

Year 8 Selective Entry Tests Preparation
Mathematical Reasoning Test:
This is a multiple-choice test that measures year-level appropriate mathematical knowledge. Questions include measurements, algebra, space and data.

Numerical Reasoning Test:
This is a multiple-choice test that measures the ability to think and reason using numbers. Items in the test tap into series, matrices, arithmetical reasoning and deduction.

Note: Even though both ability tests (sat in year 6 and year 8) assess similar concepts, the intuition behind many of the exams' questions tend to involve content from succeeding years respectively.
Year 9-10 Foundational Maths for VCE
Getting a head start for VCE maths is essential if you plan to do well in your final years of schooling. VCE mathematical subjects including Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, Further Mathematics and even Physics build upon these rudimentary concepts from years 9 to 10.
Comprehending Mathematical concepts early before year 11 ensures an easy segway for students, allowing them to be ready before diving into VCE and being comfortable with the more intricate and complex concepts such as those explored in specialist maths and physics.

In this course, students also begin to get comfortable with using the CAS calculator, a major tool used in all mathematics exams in VCE.
